Auction of Talent
This is a fun community-building exercise. The Auction of Talents is one of our largest fund-raisers that only happens every three years. Starting on Sunday, 14 June and running through Sunday, 5 July, you can make bids on what is offered. Once the auction starts, we will be putting the highest bids on the website, so you can also bid online if you are unable to come to church. The last day for bidding is 5th of July. All winners will be informed per email.

Welcome to the Church of the Ascension
We warmly welcome individuals and families of all nationalities and denominations who are looking for a place to worship in the English language.
Whatever the length of your stay we invite you to consider the Church of the Ascension as your spiritual home and share with us Christian fellowship.
We are an international community of several hundred adults and children. We are American, British, German, and a wonderful diversity of people from other locations including Australia, Africa, Asia, Europe and South America.

ASCENSION TRANSITIONS
Our Rector Dan is leaving. After almost five years in Munich, he has accepted a call to Trinity Episcopal Church, a parish in his home town, Tulsa, Oklahoma. We are deeply grateful to Teresa and Dan who have led, supported and accompanied the Ascension community on our journey with Christ. We are sorry to see them go and wish them well for the future. We will celebrate their time with us at a reception after worship on Sunday, 21st June.
To help us make the transition, Mark Edington, our Bishop, has visited and spoken with the vestry. He has also set in motion action to arrange a priest to serve us from the start of the interim period and things are now being finalized. We are confident that someone will be available to celebrate and lead worship on 5th July.
For now, our principal duty is to express our gratitude to Dan and Teresa, bid them a fond farewell and, of course, continue shedding the light of Christ around us as we maintain our normal pattern of worship and seek to engage in God’s mission for our wonderful Church of the Ascension community in and around Munich.
